100% Grass-fed Beef

Esker Trail Farm raises 100% grass fed and grass finished beef on 178 acres of pasture near Drumbo, Ontario.  They use Galloway, Hereford and Angus breeds due to their ability to grow on grass and hay alone, and their thick hides which keep them warm in our cold Canadian winters. The cows are out on the fields for two years, from birth to harvest.

Chicken

Howick Community Farmers raise their chickens without cages, antibiotics, or GMOs. The birds are raised during the summer months and are free to wander through fields, choosing their own diets of grass and grain.

*Please note that pasture-raised chickens are significantly larger than a conventional grocery store bird, weigh on average 2.4 kg, and can feed 6-8 people (approximately $6/portion).

Back to Nature started in 2013 on a family-run organic dairy farm near Parkhill, Ontario. Frank & Carrie Vander Vloet now raise a variety of pastured animals, with a mission is to grow nutrient-dense, chemical, and antibiotic-free, humanely raised Organic food for those looking for an alternative to industrial agriculture. Their ducks are supplement-fed only certified organic grain and are raised outdoors, so they can roam around and search for food on the pasture.

Pastured lamb from the Mennonites at Howick Community Farmers is a beautiful expression of the difference good farming practices make and the seasonal changes of well-managed Ontario grass fields.

Linton pasture pork is a farrow to finish family-run farm located in Walton, Ontario. The pigs are raised outdoors between spring and fall. During this time the hogs are often seen foraging in the pasture or relaxing in their “self-made” ponds. They also have free access to their huts which are designed and built by owner Jeffrey Linton.

Ready to eat, traditionally made products, made using our pasture-raised animals. We attempt to use as much of the animal as possible, so all of our pies are topped with hot water crust pastry, which uses our pork lard and is absolutely delicious.
